Research Director at CNRS with expertise in human metabolomics and microbiome research. His work focuses on microbial metabolites involved in metabolic disorders, investigating both upstream drivers—such as obesity, insulin resistance, and chronic inflammation—and downstream consequences, including cardiovascular disease.

He is affiliated with UMR 1283 (INSERM) / 8199 (CNRS), Integrative Genomics and Modeling of Metabolic Diseases (EGENODIA). He leads the research group Metabolome, Microbiome, and Metabolic Diseases. He also serves as French co-director of the International Research Laboratory on Integrative Metabolism, a collaboration between CNRS, the University of Lille, and Imperial College London.
